Colorful Shorts

Nothing takes me to heaven quite like the Talbots catalog. A miracle just happened, these shorts are actually affordable! Maybe the end of the world IS coming. While wearing shorts with heels is not quite practical, pairing these colorful shorts with a skinny khaki belt and khaki shirt is genius. All this outfit needs is a pair of flats or flip flops!

Fat Shirts

You know when you're going on a date, so you want to look super cute, but then you're going to Olive Garden, where you know you're going to eat yourself into a coma? Yeah, I didn't think I was the only one. Well, worry no further! This fat shirt is going to solve all your problems. Flowy shirts are a great way to look thin while consuming what will end up being a food baby. They conceal everything! Aren't you so lucky I'm sharing my secrets with you?

Other benefits BESIDES making you look great (even after eating pasta): This top is by Elle, which means it's great quality. It's chiffon, and what's not to love about that! AND it'll look great with your skinny jeans.

Dress of the Day

The dress below is fabulous for tucking anything you're uncomfortable about, OR creating curves where there are none! Anthropologie cannot be beat for their quality and style. Their fabrics are super soft, and keep their color forever. This dress also comes in Navy, for all you winters out there.

Bermuda Shorts

The Nordstrom Semi-annual sale is back! Shoppers rejoice! I added a few things today to amp you up for summer. These white shorts below come in several colors, but this color is my favorite. And because it's white, it's lined, so no need to worry about anything showing other than your sparkling personality!

White Shirt

Is summer on anyone else's mind? The top below is PERFECT for summer. It can be dressed down with a pair of bermuda shorts to go to the park, or some nice jeans (and stilettos) for a date night. It's light-weight cotton fabric, AND - best of all - it's machine wash! Oh, and did I mention it's on sale at Nordstrom? Bonus.

Dress of the Day

Definitely in LOVE with this dress. Macy's always has a small collection of modest dresses (which is greatly appreciated). The pattern is beautiful, the material is jersey-knit, so it's sure to be super comfortable. And it has a boat neck to boot! This dress can do no wrong in my eyes!

Yellow Skirt

Being that it's springtime and all, I'm pretty sure a yellow skirt will make me feel better amidst all this rain! This yellow skirt made my day with the bow and ruffles. I LOVE the fit. Sometimes high waisted skirts can be bulky, but this one fits amazingly well! It's also at the Modbod, so you'd be supporting a company that supports the modest-loving woman :)

This lace shirt would be the perfect fit for the skirt. To find it, click here.

Target Tee

Okay, so I'm not even going to pretend to be a sports' fan (b/c I'm DEFINITELY not), but these t-shirts from Target are a must have. They have great structure (which means they don't hug those problems areas in the tummy). AND the v-neck isn't super low - meaning you don't have to wear any type of camisole or tee underneath it. This is a huge deal to me, because it's hot enough in the summer, without having to layer on the clothes!

There are plenty of different styles available.

Flirty Top

I absolutely love the flirty sleeve look, but can't often find one I can wear without wearing a tee underneath. I found this little number on Modbe, so rest assured, this one is 100% tee safe!

Maxi Skirt

Until now, I've never seen a maxi skirt that has been remotely cute. They always seem so frumpy to me! If you really want a (cute) maxi skirt for summer, look no further:

Love the neutral colors and the pattern. I also love how the fabric seems to still give the body shape.

Check out the entire outfit here. It's definitely worth saving your pennies for! Wouldn't it look good with a Shade pink and brown shirt underneath this shirt?

CAbi Party!

My Grandma Hudson was in town (Medford) this past weekend, and threw a CAbi party for us to enjoy! CAbi stands for Carol Anderson by design. You might recognize her name, because her designs used to be in Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc.

We got to try on tons of clothes. It was seriously so much fun! I felt like I had a fashion binge :)

I loved most of the clothes, but these jeans were my favorite:

They're called the Lulu jean. It feels AMAZING, but the material is thick enough to keep its shape (aka, it makes your butt look really, really good). Also, what I LOVE about these jeans,a and makes them worthy of this blog, is the fact that the back of the jean is a butt higher than the front. Bonus! This means when you bend over, sit, anything of the sort, there's no need to constantly pull your pants up. You can go to the site here.

Ruffle Skirt - Below the Knee To Boot!

This ruffled skirt style has intrigued me from the get-go, but I can never find one that's not a mini-skirt. Well, look no further:

Found this at Etsy (website is explained in the previous post), and I'm so excited to save up for it. This could be paired with so many different things. The possibilities are endless!

Comfy Summer Dress

Okay, so this model freaks me out, but I'm in love with this casual dress!

If you haven't been to Etsy.com yet, you NEED to check it out! You can find everything from bows, to head bands, to dresses, to anything else crafty. It's AMAZING.

Summer Blouse

Modest summer blouses are basically impossible to find, so I was so excited when I say this at JC Penney yesterday:

Beach Outfit

The best part of summer (aside from the SUN) is definitely the beach. I'm so excited, I compiled a beach outfit that I'm pumped about!

Enjoy:

Cardigan from Talbots. Shirt from Victoria's Secret.

Pants from Guess. Sandals from Payless.

Summer Time Dilemma

Who doesn't love summer??? Summer dresses make the season, but it's REALLY hard to find one with SLEEVES (and one that covers my lady parts).

Found this great number at Macy's:
